About Habitelligence
Across 86 million owner-occupied homes in the U.S., households face important decisions about the systems that power, protect, and sustain daily life. Too often, these choices are shaped by limited information or urgent circumstances, leaving many unsure of which technologies will provide the greatest long-term value.
Habitelligence brings clarity to this landscape. Our research uncovers the motivations behind homeowner decisions, the technologies they adopt, and the outcomes they experience. By combining hard data with real stories, we reveal patterns that make it easier to understand what matters most in the home—and where the strongest opportunities for innovation lie.
Core Focus Areas
Drawing from nationwide homeowner survey data, Habitelligence focuses on three core areas:
Home Energy
Exploring the evolution of smart home energy infrastructure, from solar collection and battery storage to next-generation inverters, EV charging, and AI-driven energy management systems. We track innovations that enhance efficiency, resilience, and homeowner control over power generation and consumption.
Climate Control
Tracking the latest advancements in home climate control, including ultra-efficient heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, high-performance boilers, smart furnaces, and AI-driven airflow optimization. Our focus is on emerging technologies that improve efficiency, automation, and sustainability in these essential home systems.
Water & Air Treatment
Researching whole-home systems that enhance health, purity, and safety through cutting-edge water purification, air filtration, and smart environmental monitoring. We examine innovations that improve the essentials we breathe and consume every day.
